(BBC) Security officials in St Lucia are seeking help from the Regional Security System (RSS) to investigate a break in at the island’s maximum security prison on Sunday.
Heavily armed men stormed the premises freeing three inmates – two Venezuelans who were serving time for drug trafficking, and one local convicted for possession of illegal firearms.
Lawmen said the intruders breached three layers of security fencing around the recreation yard to free the convicts.
