The after-Sunday seawall mess: The Girl Guides of Guyana with the assistance of a six-member team from the UK Girl Guiding Gold on Sunday sensitised patrons and vendors on the seawall “to acknowledge their responsibility in relation to the poor environmental conditions that exist on the seawall especially after the Sunday night ‘party’”.
The Guyana Girl Guides Association said that the six girl guides from the UK are in Guyana to conduct training of young leaders and guides whom they hope will lay the foundations for environmental protection at the local level. The training is intended to facilitate the planning and implementation of an environmental project, a release from the Girl Guides said.
