Former three-time national men’s singles table tennis champion Colin France will be in the thick of things when the Guyana Darts Association in partnership with Granny’s Hangout Bar of Better Hope stages an Open tournament.
The tournament, which will be played at the said venue, is open to teams and individual players.
The tournament is expected to get underway at 3pm following registration at 1.30pm.
Entrance fee is $500 per player.
Apart from the four-person team games there will also be Open singles and Draw Doubles competitions.
Trophies, individual prizes and cash incentives are up for grabs.
Apart from France, former national champion, Norman
Madhoo, Sudesh Fitzgerald, Anil Latchman and Bholonauth Ramdial are all expected to participate.
Hand Target of Better Hope will start favourites for the team title on the basis of its home court advantage.
