Rehabilitation works on the Hunt Oil stretch of the Linden to Lethem Road are near completion and the area will be opened to truck traffic in another two to three days, according to Minister of Public Works and Communication Robeson Benn.
The Government Information Agency (GINA) reported yesterday that the repairs to the 6.5 miles stretch of road are ongoing, but near completion. Benn has been in the area overseeing the repairs, GINA said, noting that small pick-ups are currently traversing the area.
Further, Benn attributed flooding on the road to water coming down from hills in the area, and said dykes have been erected along the road corridor.
