Two men accused of breaking into a shop were yesterday remanded to prison when they appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on August 5 at Georgetown, Selwyn Gillis and Kevon Gillis broke and entered the shop of Parbattie Ali and stole therein items valued $478,700.
The duo pleaded not guilty the charge of break and enter and larceny when it was read to them by the magistrate.
The prosecution made a submission that the defendants be remanded to prison.
The two unrepresented defendants were later remanded to prison. They were ordered to return to court on September 23.
