BASSETERRE, St Kitts, CMC – Defending champions Barbados won their second straight game and Antigua and Nevis joined them in winners’ row in the third round of the St Kitts Under-13 tournament played on Monday.
Playing at Warner Park, Barbados beat St Kitts by 10 wickets while Antigua outplayed Bermuda by 33 runs at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex and Nevis defeated Dominica by 20 runs at the Elquemedo Willett Park.
Barbados dismissed St Kitts for 78 off 23.4 overs with Camarie Boyce snatching four for 18 and Sachin Clarke supporting with three for 17.
Lee Gaskin then stroked an unbeaten 56 as Barbados then strolled to 83 without loss off 15.1 overs.
At the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex, Antigua successfully defended 144 for six off their allotted 25 overs, restricting Bermuda to 125 for eight.
In Nevis, the hosts racked up 154 off 23.2 over with Clydre Smithen stroking 51 and Brian Joseph getting three for 16.
Hakeem Harvey then grabbed a hat-trick to finish with four for 17 while Colin Archibald claimed four for 20 to limit Dominica to 134 all out off 24.5 overs.
