BASSETERRE, St Kitts, CMC – Barbados continued their march towards a successful defence of their title when they reeled off their third successive win in the St Kitts Under-13 tournament here Tuesday.
Playing at the Conaree Cricket Complex, Barbados hammered Anguilla by eight wickets, joining Nevis and Dominica in winners’ row.
Opting to bat first, Anguilla were restricted to 103 for five in 25 overs with Dimitri Adams top-scoring 29 and Rakesh Gokarran hitting 27 not out.
In reply, Barbados cruised to 104 for two with Lee Gaskin getting 45 and Leniko Boucher, 26 not out.
At the Elquemedo Willett Park in Nevis, the hosts were led by 59 from Saeed Williams as they reached 155 for six off 25 overs after winning the toss and choosing to bat first.
In reply, Bermuda were bundled out for 40 off 16.5 overs with Hakeem Harvey (3-0) Ravi Sewdat (3-12) and Clydre Smithen (3-13) all taking three wickets.
At Warner Park, Dominica broke their losing slump as they defeated St Kitts by 65 runs.
They scored 150 for seven off 25 overs after winning the toss and St Kitts could only muster 85 off 24 overs with Kyle Cabey (2-6), Nian Augustie (2-12) and Brian Joseph (2-20) leading the attack.
