Minister of Home Affairs, Clement Rohee yesterday met with members of the National Oversight Committee on Domestic Violence at the Ministry’s boardroom.
According to GINA, he reiterated the critical role of the GPF in combating domestic violence.
It was noted that the committee will provide updates on necessary and pertinent information as well as apprise the Ministry of its functions and roles.
The committee is mandated to carry out interventions based on the Government’s National Policy on Domestic Violence.
Several women have been killed this year in acts of domestic violence.
