Simone King, also known as Dianne De Nobrega, was placed on $100,000 bail yesterday when she was read a new charge of obtaining money by false pretence when she appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.
It is alleged that on December 14, 2009, with intent to defraud, she obtained $500,000 from James McPherson by pretending that she was in a position to obtain a 4-wheel Hilux, knowing same to be false. She pleaded not guilty to the charge.
King, 29 of 101 Phase 2 Good Hope, ECD, on March 30 was read charges relating to 12 counts of fraudulent conversion in an alleged motorcar scam. She had pleaded not guilty to all 12 charges. Further on April 22, she was read two additional charges of obtaining a total of $1.7M and was later granted $250,000 bail.
King will make her next court appearance on October 22 in Court 10.
