A man is in police custody after an unlicensed gun was found on his person during a police patrol yesterday.
According to a police release, the search was conducted on the man at a dance at about 01:30 hrs at the Stewartville Secondary School, West Coast Demerara and a .22 Beretta pistol with a matching round was found on his person.
He was subsequently arrested and is assisting with the investigation, the release added.
