The annual District of Columbia Metro Cricket Organisation (DCMCO) softball competition will bowl off on September 19 at the Demerara Cricket Club Ground.
According to a release from the organisers, this year’s competition has been expanded to a nationwide event that will be run on a knockout basis with the final scheduled for October 31 at the same venue.
The winning team is expected to receive $150,000 and the runner-up team $75,000.
All interested teams will be required to register a 14-man squad and pay the registration fee of $5,000 before the commencement of the competition.
