Police Consumers Coopera-tive Society (PCCS) female dominoes team romped home winners of the inaugural three-way aggregate series among teams from within the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Friday at the society’s Robb Street venue.
Spearheading the PCCS team to victory was Most Valuable Player (MVP) Shelly Toney and Dawn Smartt.
Despite losing Friday’s third and final round the PCCS team, which had earlier captured the first two rounds of the three-round competition, ended on 236 games to take the top spot.
In second position was the Felix Austin Police College (FAPC) on 226 games while Brickdam Other Ranks Mess (BORM) ended in the cellar with 206 games.
The MVP title was a closely contested affair with Toney, who ended with 45 games edging teammate Smartt, 44 and FAPC’s S. Mc Leod, who also ended with 44 games, for the title.
S. Cumberbatch of FAPC won a trophy for sharing the first love in the final.
PCCS received the Mohammed’s Manufactures Enterprises trophy while FAPC captured the Balram Singh and Sons trophy.
Toney received a trophy donated by the manager of PCCS while Cumberbatch’s trophy for sharing the first love in the final was donated by R. Rose.
