A Block 22 man was found dead, hanging from a tree in his neighbourhood, less than 24 hours after he was seen with the rope that was used.
Quincy Anthony, 29, allegedly took his own life. His neighbour, Claudia Mitchell, discovered his lifeless body hanging from a tree, three houses away from his home around 6 am on Monday.
Mitchell said that the man had told her on Sunday that he was “stressed out” by his girlfriend, whom he accused of being unfaithful. The couple shared a relationship for five years. “He came back from Georgetown yesterday [Sunday] and he told me that the two of them had a misunderstanding because he find out that she was living with someone else,” said a neighbour.
Following the discovery, the man’s mother Valarie Chin and the police were notified. No foul was suspected. A close relative said that Anthony attempted to take his life two years for similar reasons.
