A father of six in Essequibo who had two grammes of cannabis in his possession was yesterday fined $3,000 together with six months community service when he appeared before new acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The allegation is that on September 6 at Essequibo, Odell Dublin had in his possession two grammes of cannabis.
Dublin admitted his guilt to the charge of possession of narcotics.
Dublin, a mason who through his attorney said that he was sorry for his actions, was later fined $3,000 together with six months community service.
