The top teams in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) National Super League tournament scored heavily over the weekend in lopsided wins.
In Linden, Milerock demolished Rosignol United 4-1 while Alpha United maintained their unbeaten run with a 3-0 whipping of Bakewell Topp XX.
At the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) thrashed Buxton United 3-0 while at Uitvlugt; Camptown also defeated Seawall United 3-0.
In Bartica, Victoria Kings edged the home team Liquid Gold by 2 -1.
Women Inter Association
In the women’s tournament, Georgetown got the better of East Coast 3-0 at the GFC ground.
All goals were scored in the first half by Shennel Daniels, Valeri Hunter and Nicola Leacock in the fourth, 18th and 32nd minutes.
The win took Georgetown to 11 points while their nearest opponents, Linden, are on seven points.
The next female fixture will be played next Wednesday with Lethem coming up against East Coast at the GFC Ground.
