The Lions Club of Bel Air will be hosting a fundraiser on Sunday at the Carifesta Sports Complex, Carifesta Avenue.
The sports and fun day fundraiser will feature Ten10 Softball Cricket Competition scheduled for six male teams with players aged 45 and over, and a female version in which four female teams are expected to participate.
Dishing out lucrative prizes, the first place team for the men’s competition will walk away with a trophy and $100,000 in cash, the second place team will be able to claim a trophy as well as $50,000, and individual prizes will see the best batsman receiving $5,000 and a trophy and the same will be rewarded to the best performing bowler, and the team with the best crowd support will pocket an easy $10,000.
For the women, the winning team will walk away with a trophy and $75,000, the second place team will receive a trophy and $50,000 and the third place team will get a trophy and $25,000.
The individual and auxiliary prizes will be the same in the women’s division.
Also scheduled is a dominoes game that will see 18 teams contesting for the top spot. Another $100,000 and a trophy will be dished out for this winning team. A trophy and $75, 000 will go to second place and third place will have $25,000 and a trophy, and the player with the most games will receive $5,000 and a trophy.
