Natasha Moore’s desperate fight to stay alive was lost on Friday night when she succumbed to a brain tumour that had been plaguing her for the past year.
A teary-eyed Donna Moore, who came to Stabroek News, related that the pain was unbearable for her daughter.
“The pain was too much fuh her, she really suffer,” the woman related somberly.
Through tears which streamed down her face, Donna lamented how unfortunate it is for persons like her who lack the financial resources for medical attention. The grief stricken woman said it was sad that her daughter died simply because they did not have the money to pay for the immediate surgery she required. “Imagine me daughter die just because we din have money eh?” the woman remarked.
Just last Thursday, Donna had approached Stabroek News on her ill daughter’s behalf in a bid to plead for financial aid from the public so that Natasha could undergo surgery in the United States to save her life.
Before leaving this newspaper’s Robb Street office, the distraught mother sadly and softly uttered, “God knows best and he is in charge.”
Donna related that her 31-year-old daughter died in the wee hours of Friday morning after crying out for severe pains. She will be buried on Friday.
