Giftland OfficeMax continues to be a major supporter of sports in Guyana and football in particular.
On Monday, the company made a donation of an undisclosed sum of money towards the inaugural President’s Cup International Friendly encounter set for Sunday at the National Stadium, Providence. Director of the Kashif and Shanghai organization, Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major, who received the donation, said the company was grateful for the support which has come at a much needed time.
Major is also urging Guyanese to come out and support the Golden Jaguars football team in its quest for victory against Trinidad’s Soca Warriors.
Marketing Manager of Giftland, Compton Babb, stated that his company was proud to be associated with this venture and added that the company was always pleased to be of assistance to the Kashif and Shanghai organization. Babb gave the company’s commitment to support the event should it become an annual one. (KB)
