Dear Editor,
Our National Cultural Centre is a place where Guyanese can go to for live entertainment, whether it is dance, music or theatre. The Clico meeting that was recently held there was a gross violation of a cultural space.
Meetings of this kind should be held in spaces that are more conducive to this kind of agenda, eg, the Convention Centre or in the case of Clico where there was some unbefitting behaviour, a better place would have been in a tented Parade Ground.
Please leave our cultural spaces as they should be… for cultural activities, for artists, for musicians.
Yours faithfully,
Deo Persaud
