Another new attorney –at-law was admitted to the bar earlier this week before Acting Chief Justice Ian Chang.
Marisa Mittelholzer, who will be attached to the chambers of Hughes, Fields and Stoby was admitted to practice law on Tuesday last after a petition on her behalf was presented before Justice Chang by Attorney-at-law Nigel Hughes.
Mittelholzer obtained her LL.B degree from the University of Guyana after completing studies there in 2008 and she obtained her Legal Education Certi-ficate this year from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago.
The young woman, whose twin sister recently completed studies in the field of medicine, once worked in the banking sector and has been an active member of the non-governmental organization, Habitat for Humanity, Guyana. She thanked Justice Chang for accepting her petition and Hughes for presenting it.
She also expressed gratitude to her parents, siblings, well wishers and others for their support.
