Tourism Minister Manniram Prashad yesterday said that this year’s GuyExpo will see a “tremendous improvement in quality” as well as more space during a walk through of the Sophia Exhibition Centre, where the six day trade fair is being held.
Prashad said that more space has been made at the Centre to accommodate more booths and people. The minister said that the trade fair is expected to be visited by thousands of visitors. Meanwhile, Prashad said that big businesses that have stayed away from previous GuyExpo have returned.
Also attending the trade fair the Minister pointed out are businesses from Brazil, Mexico, Suriname and India. He added that he was happy with the overseas participation this year and the event was opened as well to joint ventures. All booths have been sold out Prashad stated.
With just one day to go before GuyExpo is officially opened, Prashad said that he was confident that the construction of booths which was still on going yesterday will be completed in time for Thursday night’s ceremony.
“This whole place will be transformed. [Patrons] are in for a big treat,” Prashad assured. However he stated that the trade fair will not be held over.
