In a series of one sided affairs Beterverwagting (BV), Wortmanville, Newtown and Kitty on Tuesday night became the latest victors of the seven-a-side Inter-Ward Football currently ongoing at the Georgetown Football Club ground (GFC).
Opening the trend for the night, BV scored a 1 – 0 triumph over Albouystown and Wortmanville followed with a 2-0 whipping of North Ruimveldt.
Newtown emerged with a 1 – 0 win over East La Penitence and Kitty closed off the night’s event by edging Alexander Village 1 – 0.
The event’s action continues tomorrow night at the same venue from 18:00hrs, opening with a match-up between Soesdyke and Timehri. This will be followed by Charlestown taking on the Sophia team, Houston will come up against Eve Leary and Ann’s Grove ‘B’ and West Estate, will play the final game of the night’s proceedings.
