Dear Editor,
Please allow me to express my eternal gratitude to the staff of Stabroek News for their assistance in helping me to find my mother after 36 years.
After you published my letter in your newspaper on September 23, 2010, my mother contacted me by telephone the very same day. Words cannot convey the joy on being reunited not only with my mother, but three brothers I never knew I had, as well numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and various other family members. My mother said her prayers of almost four decades had finally been answered.
In a time when all news seems to be about stories of crime, neglect, and the worst that one human being can do to another, it is truly wonderful that God can use a newspaper to demonstrate that He is still in the business of miracles.
My heartfelt thanks again to you for the part you and your staff played in this reunion, and may God bless you always.
