The Brasimex 7-a-side inter-ward football tournament continued on Thursday night at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground with the kicking off of four more games.
Thursday night’s opening game which got underway at 18:00 hrs was a high scoring contest between Soesdyke ‘B’ and Timehri with the latter coming out victorious after shots from Collis Massiah, Travis Thornhill and Hubert Adams found the back of the net.
Soesdyke ‘B’ only managed two goals from the boot of Kerwyn Benjamin and John Gordon.
Sophia later went down to Charlestown, who put the ball between the uprights five times and held their opponents scoreless in the process for a 5-0 win.
Jimmy Gravesande, Velon Thorne, Devon Dookee and Andrew Murray, who struck twice, were the goal scorers for Charlestown.
The third game of the night ended in a scoreless draw between Eve Leary and Houston, while West Estate defeated Ann’s Grove ‘B’ 5-4 in the final game of the night.
The tournament continues tonight with four more games at the GFC ground.
