(EUR) Beef, for better or worse, is a part of the entertainment industry. It’s all around and seems to never really go away.
Recently, rumours of beef between singers Ciara and Keri Hilson have been floating around, and just last month, the two were scheduled to be on the same stage (not at the same time) at a concert in New York. Supposedly when Ciara heard that her rival was going to be there, she pulled out.
Ciara brought up the rumour recently when speaking to TheBoomBox.com. She told the publication she doesn’t have time for beef.
“In reference to the Keri situation, I’m so in a different space mentally I can’t even bring myself to do that,” the singer told the site. “It’s not [important] to me. There’s just so much stuff to get out of life than that. There’s so much more for me to accomplish in my career. Personally, I’ve decided that it doesn’t make sense to do that.”
Supposedly the clashing began when Hilson dissed Ciara in her “Turnin’ Me On” remix. However, the singer denied the lyrics were targeted at anyone in particular. According to gossipers, Ciara decided to leave the show because they got into a verbal fight backstage at the Power 105.1 Power Live Show.
Show organizers dismissed the reports, but the New York Daily News said they had obtained a set Ciara.
“I’m very secure in my place and what I’ve done over the years,” Ciara explained. “I’m just trying to be as successful as possible. I do believe that thinking about stuff like that and giving things like that energy – it can get in the way. It’s not necessary. That’s just my point of view. When you read about people having differences, it’s case by case.
Sometimes there [are] songs that make people think like that, sometimes there are rumours. You just never know where they come from.”
Well, who knows what the reality really is between these two. Meanwhile, as they should, they’re both moving forward in heir respective careers. Ciara is set to drop her fourth album, ‘Basic Instinct,’ in November; while Hilson’s ‘No Boys Allowed’ is due in stores later this year as well.
