The President Youth Award Republic of Guyana (PYARG) programme, Charity Secondary School Unit recently visited Kabakaburi Mission in the Pomeroon where they repaired and painted the play park.The PYARG was officially launched in Kabkaburi during the month of April. To date there are 16 young persons actively involved in the programme along with three adult volunteers. The unit is headed by Shelisa Roberts.Along with the beautification of the play park, which was done on September 25, the members of the award programme also prepared lunch for the elders of Kabakaburi Mission on September 26. The activities were part of Amer-indian Heritage month which was observed last month.Kabakaburi Captain L Williams thanked the PYARG members for their kind and timely gesture adding that the activity would benefit the community.
