St Stanislaus College (Saints) athlete Hilton Moore gave three dominating performances to put his school in the lead of Zone Three at the end of the field events of North Georgetown District No.11 Inter-Zone Championships at the Guyana Teachers Union ground, Woolford Avenue.
Moore made massive first place throws in the under-20 category javelin, shot put and discus events to propel Saints to the lead with 575 points.
In the meantime the cycling and swimming events have been concluded while the long jump field events are still to be conducted after being postponed due to the awful state of the GTU ground.
Far behind Saints with 234 points is Brickdam Secondary while St Rose’s High stands with 174 points, St George’s with 124 and the Business School has 90 points.
And so far defending zone champion St Mary High School is the only Zone Three school yet to earn a point.
