The stands of the Tucville Playfield which have been home to football fans for several years will undergo refurbishing ahead of the annual Fruta Conquerors organized NAMILCO Football Festival which begins later this month.

NAMILCO’s Finance Manager Autamaram Lakeram (centre) hands over the cheque to Fruta Conquerors’ Vice President Ivor Thompson while the President Marlan Cole (left) and members of NAMILCO look on.

An undisclosed sum of money was handed over to the club for the renovation of the two stands by the club’s tournament sponsor.

The presentation was done in the boardroom of NAMILCO and was attended by the company’s Finance Manager, Autamaram Lakeram, FC President and Vice President Marlan Cole and Ivor Thompson respectively and other members of NAMILCO.

In brief remarks Thompson expressed gratitude to the sponsor on behalf of the club and stated that the money will help ensure the successful staging of the tournament’s fifth edition.

He added that it was important that the spectators were comfortably seated during matches and so it was necessary to ensure that the stands are in a suitable condition.

Speaking on behalf of his company, Lakeram disclosed that they are pleased to be associated with such a prominent tournament.

Lakeram also stated that they are always happy for the opportunity to demonstrate their corporate responsibility and support for youths in the Tucville community and the society at large.
