The Oasis water company yesterday made a timely donation to the Fruta Conquerors football club which is to assist in the refurbishing of the Tucville playfield ahead of their annual Namilco Football Festival which is scheduled to commence later this month.
The company yesterday handed over an undisclosed sum which is to be used for the acquisition of materials and a supply of water for teams and officials during the tournament.
The cheque was handed over by Wanacy Forde, who is the daughter of the entity’s proprietor, Wayne Forde, to vice-president of Fruta Conquerors, Ivor Thompson in the presence of club president Marlan Cole.
Thompson thanked the company for its continuous support over the years and stated that it will benefit youths in the Tucville community and its environs directly and indirectly.
Forde lauded the efforts of the club over the years for working in the interest of football and youth development and promised his company’s continued support.
