The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company today said that the outage to its Emagine Broadband system this morning was due to a problem with one of its servers.
According to PRO Allison Parker, the problem occurred during the reconfiguring of the server and lasted from 7.45 am to 8.10 am. She stated that the outage was not due to any fault with the fibre optic cable which serves as the backbone of the Emagine Broadband system. Some GT&T subscribers reported that they had not been able to access the Emagine service even before 7.45 am today.
