Dear Editor,
I refer to your article: ‘Accused snatcher says has dogs to feed and shouldn’t be remanded’ dated October14, 2010. I made a note of the address and later received an email from animal lover Zenobia Williams asking me to see what assistance I could give the “dogs,” given the owner’s situation.
Thinking the worst, and loaded with food, I arrived at the address and asked a man if the accused lived there. He said, “Yes,” so I asked him where the accused’s dogs were. He then pointed to one dog, a lovely Pitbull, in excellent condition. She had a kennel (with several bowls in it) and was on a long leash for free and safe movement. I asked the man who fed and gave water to the dog every day. Once again, he said, “I do.”
I left feeling good, knowing that the dog would not starve or be mistreated. The man I spoke to seemed to be a nice and caring person.
Yours faithfully,
