National champion Sudesh Fitzgerald last Sunday defeated Anil Latchman 2-0 in the final of the Open Singles darts tournament held at Granny’s Hangout Bar at Better Hope.
Afeez Majid was third.
In the semi-finals Fitzgerald defeated Hubert Yearwod while Latchman got the better of Majid.
Yearwood had earlier defeated former national champion Norman Madhoo.
Madhoo redeemed himself somewhat when he outdone teamed up with Latchman to capture the Draw Doubles.
In the Open Doubles, Madhoo once again proved unstoppable teaming up with Colin France to romp home victorious.
Vinod’s Lumber and Pawn Shop; Ideal Food Supplies; Gem’s Mining and Zeco Industrial Workshop were the major sponsors of the competition.
