Malteenoes were 106-4 in reply to Everest Cricket Club’s first innings score of 161 all out at the close of the first day’s play of the Georgetown Cricket Association’s two-day first division Heroes Cup competition at the Guyana Defence Force ground Camp Ayanganna.
Batting first a half century from Abilash Dookie and 24 from Troy Gonsalves spurred Everest to 161 all out in 69.1 overs.
Quason Nedd 2-14, Deon Ferrier, 2-20, Vishal Narayan 2-27 and Steven Sankar 2-60 were the principal wicket takers.
In reply, Ferrier scored an unbeaten 55 and Kwame Cross 32 in Malteenoes’ 106-4. Carlos La Rose is the other not out batsman on two. Dookie has so far picked up 2-24.
