The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) with 78 games ran out winners of the Ministry of Home Affairs domino competition last Wednesday at the Police Sports Club.
Coming up against the Guyana Police Force (GPF) and the Guyana Prison Service (GPS) in a fourth round encounter, the GFS team, benefited from consistent scoring from four of their six-member team to win by 11 games from their nearest rival GPS.
Rawle Barrow led the way with 16 games for GFS and he received support from Ron Venture, 15 games and Tricia Leander and Allison Petterson with 14 games each.
For GPS, who ended with 69 games, Winston Hinds scored 17 games and Shelly Nero 16 while for the GPF team which ended in the cellar with 61 games, the top marker was Ann Thompson with 15 games.
Hinds was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the competition which is being sponsored by Payless Shopping Centre of Regent Street.
