Bandits reportedly made off with millions of dollars in cash and jewellery after assaulting a 75-year-old resident of Kersaint Park, La Bonne Intention on Sunday night.
According to reports, Baba Alli was accosted by four men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, around 10.30 pm Sunday. Alli, this newspaper learnt, recently returned from Canada where she had been living.
Reports said she was manhandled by the bandits who demanded cash and valuables before eventually making off with US$500, Cdn$300, local currency, jewellery and electronic gadgets.
Up to press time last night there was no word from the police on the robbery.
