A former employee of murdered Guyana-trained Belizean lawyer Richard Stuart and his wife, Maria has been held in Belize connection with the investigation, newsbelize.com has reported.
According to report, late Monday afternoon the suspect was intercepted in a Toyota Scion which belonged to Richard Stuart. Further, the report said that the suspect was arrested in the very area where Stuart had found his stolen Blue Toyota Highlander one month ago. The suspect, who had been fired by Stuart, was driving the vehicle when he was detained by police and a knife was found under one of the car seats.
The well-known attorney and his wife were viciously stabbed to death inside their home after midnight on Saturday.
Stuart was well-known in Guyana in legal circles.
