The US Armed Forces healthcare operation here was launched in Berbice yesterday. The 1,800-member team on the USS Iwo Jima, which includes three Guyanese, is made up of dental, veterinary and engineering professionals from the US military as well as non-governmental organisations and other international partners. The mission will last for 10 days.
