Dr Sheik Amir with 80 votes topped the recent Medical Council of Guyana elections for office bearers for 2010-12.
According to a notice in today’s Guyana Chronicle under the name of Chief Medical Officer, Dr Shamdeo Persaud, Dr Amir was followed by Drs Hardat Persaud with 78, Vivienne Mitchell with 75, Nehaul Singh with 74, Haydock Wilson with 62, Madan Rambarran with 60, Dalgleish Joseph with 53 and Vishwa Mahadeo with 41.
