Sanford House yesterday ran out comfortable winners of the athletics championships of the Government Technical Institute (GTI), at the Ministry of Education Sports Complex, Carifesta Avenue.
They ended with 319 points Greenidge House finished second with 153 points.
Williams House was third with 113 points; Inniss House, fourth with 99 points; Delph House, fifth with 91 points while Munroe House ended in the cellar with 89 points.
Lawrence Philips of Sanford House, won the under-20 200m category, ahead of teammate Andrew Jarvis while Greenidge’s Danielle Dazell was third.
And, returning in a specially-arranged Schoolboys Invitational 100m race, Philips was again the winner while Carl Lewis won the battle for second place ahead of Guyana Defence Force athlete, Patrick King.
On the girls’ side, the 200m was won by Sanford’s Javana Langford.
