BRASILIA (Reuters) – Brazilian ruling party candidate Dilma Rousseff maintained her lead over opposition challenger Jose Serra ahead of a presidential runoff vote today, a third opinion poll showed yesterday.
Rousseff had 52 per cent of voter support in the survey by polling firm Ibope, compared with Serra’s 40 per cent.
The last Ibope poll on Thursday showed Rousseff with 52 per cent and Serra with 39 per cent.
The latest poll, commissioned by the Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper, surveyed 3,010 people between Oct. 27 and Oct. 30 and had a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
