The Alliance For Change’s conference this afternoon confirmed Khemraj Ramjattan as its presidential candidate and in something of a surprise fowarded Sheila Holder as its prime ministerial candidate for next year’s elections.
It was expected that current party leader Raphael Trotman who was the presidential candidate at the 2006 elections would be the prime ministerial nominee this time around. However, sources told Stabroek News yesterday that he declined on grounds of ill health and for personal reasons. (More later)
