The Power Darts Club of 141 Second Street, Grove Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (School Street Entrance) will stage a darts tournament today at their new venue.
Fine Arts Tint Shop, Robby & Sons Mechanic Shop and Yassin’s Auto Spares are the major sponsors for the one day tournament.
At stake are cash incentives and trophies for the respective winners, in the Draw Doubles, Open Doubles and Open Singles categories.
Registration will get underway at 2pm while the tournament will begin at 3pm.
Meanwhile, former national champion Norman Madhoo carted off the Singles category and added the elusive ‘Draw Doubles’at the Central Automotive Repairs sponsored Darts Tournament on Friday at Mark’s Darts Club, 72 Brummell Place, Stabroek.
Madhoo easily disposed of Anthony Bissoondial 4 – 1 in the final after defeating Mark Persaud and Sherwin Greene earlier.
Bissoondial got the better of Sudesh Fitzgerald and Anil Latchman on his way to the final.
In the Draw Doubles’ the pair of Madhoo and Bissoondial defeated Colin France and Francis Corriea, in the final.
Sudesh Fitzgerald made the presentation to the respective winners on behalf of the sponsors.
