A 27-year-old man died late Sunday night after he lost control of the car he was driving and ended up in a trench.
Dead is Bhupendra Naraine of 33 Grove Squatting Area, East Bank Demerara (EBD), who died while receiving treatment at the Diamond Diagnostic Hospital.
Reports are that shortly after 11 pm the man and his wife were returning from a wedding house at Herstelling, EBD, and as he was about to navigate the turn located at Diamond in the vicinity of Demerara Distillers Ltd (DDL) he lost control of the car. His wife, who was in the front passenger’s seat related to relatives that the last thing she remembered, was the car spinning. She regained consciousness a few minutes later and discovered she was lying in a trench. Both she and husband were rushed to the Diamond hospital but he died shortly after.
