The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) yesterday rededicated its Military Reference Library

The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) yesterday rededicated its Military Reference Library (MRL) located in Camp Ayanganna and the now fully staffed facility provides services to all officers and ranks pursuing studies or conducting academic research. Colonel General Staff Bruce Lovell in a short address said that the library will serve as a repository for the GDF’s records as it has archival records. He expressed the concern that the library is an area that many don’t make full use of while adding that he hopes the objectives are achieved that persons not only use the facility for learning, but that it is also used to record the force’s history.  In this photograph from left: Chief of Staff Commodore Gary Best is seen in discussion with Public Relations Officer, Woman Colonel Windee Algernon, Colonel Lovell and Colonel Administration and Quartering, Captain John Flores shortly after the redetection ceremony.
