Third Linden boat crash victim found

All three victims  from Friday’s Linden speedboat mishap have now been found. The body of Melinda Duggan was pulled from the Demerara River early this morning, relatives said. Kishana Hollingsworth’s body was found at around 1.30 pm today.

This morning, waiting residents, who were part of search parties, found Duggan’s body which was taken to the Wismar Hospital morgue. Duggan, 12, is the second person to be found. On Saturday, Quacy Miggins, 7, was confirmed drowned as a result of Friday’s boat mishap.

Eyewitness, Marlon Sullivan, had told this newspaper on Friday that the boat, property of the Linden Community Policing Group, was approaching the landing when the captain, Oscar Giles, made a rash turn which resulted in the boat capsizing. There were approximately 14 passengers on board.
