A farmer at Barabina, in the Mabaruma sub region, guides pigs to her farm located close to her home. The community is home to several farmers, who plant mainly ground provisions and rear livestock.
This pavilion was erected several years ago at Bumbury/Wanaina in Region One. The area in the background was designated for a new playfield for the area since the more popular venue at nearby Hosororo was occupied by a primary school which was built there.
A resident of Tobago Hill in the North West District carves a paddle using his cutlass last weekend. The man told Stabroek News that the paddle would be used over the next year during his voyages within the nearby Aruka River.

The community does not receive electricity even though a promise was made to residents there by the gove
rnment in the run-up to the last elections.
