A man was arrested along the Arimu Backdam trail on Monday minutes after police ranks observed him throwing a bag through the window of a vehicle which was later found to contain an unlicensed 9mm pistol, 15 matching rounds and a quantity of marijuana.
Police said in a press release that around 1400 hours police ranks en route to the Arimu Backdam, Mazaruni, observed the man throwing away a bag from a motor-vehicle which had stopped along the trail, as they approached.
