The meeting was scheduled to take place on Monday last at 2pm.
According to reports from Meusa’s representative, Fredrica Crawford, she received correspondence from the minister’s office informing her that the meeting will be rescheduled for next week when the minister’s schedule lightens up.
Dr Anthony on Saturday had promised to meet with Meusa and the GCF to discuss allegations made by the current national chess champion which resulted in him being banned for six months and unable to defend his crown.
Crawford said she called the minister’s office twice on Monday, to verify the appointment and was told that she would receive a call to ascertain a time for the meeting.
She received the call on Tuesday informing her that Dr Anthony had instructed that the meeting be set up as early as possible in the coming week as he was too busy this week.
