Dear Editor,
I would like to compliment Mr Panchu for expressing his views on what has become more than a nuisance (cattle grazing) to the residents of Continental, Republic and Nandy Park (‘Urban cattle-rearing should no longer be tolerated’ SN, November 19).
I was told by someone that the cattle in most cases are not branded, which is deliberate to avoid prosecution but it works against them as when their cattle are seized they cannot claim their animals without establishing bona fide ownership, and sometimes cattle disappear under strange circumstances.
However, that aside, there is a health issue as well as the damage to water pipes.
Let us try to rescue the oldest established residential community by implementing the new pound rates.
Yours faithfully,
