In Friday night’s results, CCT thrashed Meadowbrook 6 – 1; Albouystown ‘A’ defeated West Back Road 4 – 1; Costello Housing Scheme needled Drysdale 1-0; North Last Entrance edged Island All-stars 1-0, Back Circle defeated Globe Yard 2 -0; Holmes Street Tiger Bay got past Norton Street Lodge 2 – 1; Sophia got the better of Albouystown ‘B’ by a 2 – 1 margin and Kingston trounced Woolford Avenue 2 – 0.
The competition’s preliminary round wrapped up last night at the East Ruimveldt Community Centre with the final eight matches of round three. The first round of the knockout stage commences on Wednesday at the Burnham Court.
Schultz scored in the eighth and ninth minutes while Clark was successful in the 21st and 22nd minutes.
Jamal Nichols and Leroy Griffith chipped in with a goal each.
In West Back Road’s Victory, Dellon Small’s hat-trick was the backbone of the score line. He recorded goals in the ninth, 10th and 12th minutes while Devon Booker accounted for the final team goal.
Eion Bacchus was Costello Housing Scheme’s lone goal scorer against Drysdale while Travis `Zorro’ Grant was North Last Entrance lone goal scorer against the Island Stars team.
Gavin Ford and Leonard Wade scored in the 15th and 18th minutes against Woolford Avenue in their 2 – 0 triumph.
A goal each from Shemroy Arthur and Sheik Kamal for Sophia was enough to put away the Albouystown ‘B’ squad while Hope Street Tiger Bay goal scorers were Keoma Gravesande and Joel Lloyd.
Back Circle scorers were Deiton Edinboro and Quason Alleyne in their victory against Globe Yard.
